The Papa Pandas provide organization, coordination, labor, fundraising, whatever is needed to make a variety of events happen throughout the year.
Panda Prom
One of our proudest moments was in May 2018 when we pulled off the first ever Panda Prom! It was a huge success. Our 3rd – 5th graders had an awesome time and the feedback from parents/guardians and staff was super positive.
This has become the Papa Panda’s signature event.
Our next Panda Prom is Friday, May 17, 2019. If you haven’t already, please RSVP to the event.
Movie Night
Friday, March 8, 2019, was a chilly night but so many students and parents came out to enjoy a screening of Meet the Robinsons on the blacktop. It was a good thing the 5th graders kept everyone warm with pizza and hot cocoa!
Campus Cleanups
Throughout the year, the Papas come together to help keep the Benchley-Weinberger campus clear of trash and the landscape from overcoming walkways and play areas. Someone has to step in when the District is not able to step up.
Dodgeball Competition
Starting in 2018, the Papa Pandas entered into the friendly dodgeball competition between other area dads groups hosted by Green Elementary. We did pretty well taking 2nd place in our first attempt! The other area schools who often compete include: Green, Hearst, Dailard, Marvin, and Gage.
