Basic Info

• Why: Fun, social, fundraiser for Papa Panda crew. bring a friend or two and play some cards. Goal = % of pot goes to Papa Panda Budget for new swag order or the like

[Important!] If you don’t know how to play and want to learn this is a great opportunity to get in and enjoy the learning curve. all skill levels welcome. no judgement here. This is an inaugural event and planned to be informal and fun.

• When: Sat. Dec 7th 2024
• Time: 6:30 til winners are found (estimated 2-4 hours likely)
• Cost: $40 buy-in
• Location: La Mesa, CA @ hosted at Nick Duran’s house (Address emailed w/RSVP)
• Game:Texas Hold’em
• House Rules (Casual WPT-like)
  • Tourney style (all skill levels welcome)
  • 1 additional buy-in allowed within 90 min of play start. (ex: play starts at 7PM then need to re-buy by or before 8:30)
  • Small/Big Blinds depending on speed of play will increase incrementally – TBD based on pace of play)
  • Keep it simple, cordial and fun, trusted friends welcome, no cheating, no climbing on the furniture, don’t bite your opponent.
• Payout
  • < 8 players then top single player (2x)
  • 8-13 players then top two pay (1.5x, 1x)
  • If 14+ players then top three pay (2x, 1.5x 1x) –> Venue may need to change if this many people express interest.

BYOB – Host is throwing in a small cooler of beverages and a pizza too.
